  125. TCN PROGRAM INSTALLATION AND STARTUP

  127. Installation and startup of The CONSTITUTION Notebook Program can be
  128. slightly different depending on whether your copy came from a CD-ROM, a
  129. disk vendor, or a BBS.
  130.

  133. TCN PROGRAM STARTUP
  134.  
  135. The first time the TCN program is run following installation, up to 5
  136. screens are automatically displayed to help you get started.  Spend as
  137. much time as you like on each screen.  (You CAN manually access them
  138. later.)
  139.  
  140. The last of these screens offers to automatically start EASY QT, an
  141. automatic quick tutorial.  TCNbP Company urges you to click Yes.
  142.  
  143. Some CD-ROM install programs will automatically launch the TCN program
  144. after installing it.  This is ok.
  145.  
  146. Otherwise, the TCN program is generally started using the Program Manager
  147. icon.  You can also start it from the file manager TCN.EXE icon or by
  148. using the Run option of the Windows Program Manager File menu.
  149.  
  150. NOTE:  Do not attempt to run TCN.EXE directly from the CD-ROM (by
  151. clicking on the TCN.EXE icon or by using the Run option of the Windows
  152. Program Manager File menu).  It will not work.

  156. INSTALLATION FROM CD-ROM
  157.  
  158. Some CD-ROMs include a "canned" install program which can be used to
  159. install many or all of the programs contained on the CD-ROM.  TCNbP
  160. Company allows the TCN program to be installed by such programs.  Consult
  161. your CD-ROM documentation.  If its canned install program will install
  162. the TCN program, you can use it.
  163.  
  164. NOTE:  If your CD-ROM does not include such an install program, you can
  165. install the TCN program using SETUP.EXE or TCNSTALL.BAT.

  169. INSTALLATION FROM DISKETTES
  170.  
  171. Use the program SETUP.EXE to install the TCN program from diskettes.
  172.  
  173. NOTE:  If SETUP.EXE is not included (or does not work on your machine, as
  174. sometimes happens), use TCNSTALL.BAT and then run TCNSETUP.EXE from the
  175. target install directory you indicated.  See the file SETUP.DOC in the
  176. target install directory for more information.

  180. INSTALLATION FROM BBS DOWNLOADS

  182. To install the TCN program using files downloaded from a BBS:

  184. 1.  Unzip the compressed file in a scratch directory.
  185.  
  186. 2.  Use TCNSTALL.BAT to install the TCN program files in the directory
  187. where you will operate it.

  189. 3.  Run TCNSETUP.EXE to create the Program Manager icon for the TCN
  190. program.  When the prompt appears concerning the icon only option, click
  191. Yes.

  225. Company grants a limited license to use and distribute this software.

  228. LIMITED LICENSE FOR USE OF THE TCN PROGRAM

  231. evaluation purposes as follows:
